Special Religious Education (SRE) at Hunter Christian Church
Hunter Christian Church is involved in SRE classes at Kahibah Public School. SRE classes are optional for students and we teach students who ‘opt in’ for the SRE classes.
Process of authorisation.
Before they are able to teach SRE, volunteers must complete a process of authorisation. Details of the authorisation process can be found below.
Our SRE teachers receive training in the seven ICCOREIS Teacher Training Modules. Outlines of the modules can be found at here.
“Godspace” is the curriculum our teachers use. A scope and sequence of the curriculum can be viewed here. Godspace also provides training that we will use in conjunction with ICCOREIS training if necessary.
If you are interested in becoming an SRE teacher with Hunter Christian Church, or you have any questions regarding SRE then please contact the church office on 49421351.
We aim to provide a high quality SRE program with effective teaching methods and appropriate content, suitable to the age of the children.
